Post-holiday gifts are always the best ones, because they’re the least expected.
Yesterday, I got word early afternoon that BET’s 106 & Park would be airing “I’m So Appalled” as the NEW Joint of the Day. (Shout to Terrence J for saying my name right.)
Even crazier, this is the record that pretty much set it all for me. A year and 4 days ago I released this freestyle to much critical acclaim, 2DopeBoyz, AllHipHop “Heater of the Day”, and a gang of other sites. I appreciated the love then, and appreciate it that much more now. THANK YOU.

After being couped up writing treatments all day, last night me, DeNiro and Jerome decided to get some air and grab a grub. Liva and iCan met us at Distrito to go over visuals for a certain video for a certain song Raak & I produced on their new FreeEP.

SNL x Raak & Forte’
Monday, October 11th, 2010A couple weeks back I was in NYC (what else is new), doing this “A Day In The Life” piece with VIBE Magazine. When the day was done, I stopped by the Vibe “creative space” as they refer to it, to link w/the big homey DT. He introduced me to this artist, I knew her, she didn’t know me, but we have a gang of mutual friends. So from there we played each other joints, talked about inspiration and possibly linking back up to work on something.
A couple weeks later, here I am in Atlanta, and one day in DeNiro gets a call saying she’s free to link up if we are. Imagine that.

Before we took the stage for the Hot 97/Hennessy Artistry Event at Brooklyn Bowl. Asher and I got a chance to catch up. It’s a been awhile, my man has come along way since he bodied the “Cannon” beat. He’s killing it, and I couldn’t be happier for him. Philly stand up!

Rehearsal.

There are alot of parallels between sports and music. You gotta work out, eat right, keep your body healthy in able to perform and compete at the highest level. This is the same with practice, or in my case rehearsal. I learned when I was younger playing football and basketball, that how you practice is 9 times out of 10 how you’ll play. Yeah…we talkin bout practice. 
This is why I go 110% in rehearsal, because the show I bring to the stage has to be nothing less than that. I pride myself on pushing myself (and my team) to be and do better than what’s ‘expected’ of us. You hear it more work. You see it my show.
I’m not letting up.
That said, THANK YOU to everybody that came out to Brooklyn Bowl the other night. We made history.
